Clever children
By patti | November 7, 2007
Since Kathleen wrote what her clever child had written (I can’t figure out how to link to the post), I have been sent something pretty clever by one of my own children. Sam wrote the following to me through IM:
(13:37:21) Sam: I have terrible news!
(13:37:33) Sam: My cell phone was depressed all yesterday,
(13:38:05) Sam: And late last night, it tried to commit suicide by diving into the washing machine!
(13:38:35) Sam: I didn’t see it jump, but missing it later, I returned and pulled it from the depths of warm oblivion.
(13:39:04) Sam: Unfortunately, it was partially successful, in that it is badly brain-damaged.

How funny! Poor phone.

Oh, no, not the phone! At least you still have IM. Clever message, though, indeed.

The weird thing is that a few months ago, Sam’s old phone stopped recharging and died. It was one that I had bought off Ebay and it did work for a year or so. So last night he just thought he’d put the sim card into the old phone and by golly it worked and showed itself to be fully charged. I guess it just needed a vacation. Maybe better that than depression and suicide.:-)
